DNA Supplement Review

Today I’ll be doing a completely non-bias review on my thoughts and experiences with Magnum Nutraceutical’s DNA. DNA is a BCAA base product designed to sandwich your workout with pre and post servings. I will try to be as helpful and informative as I can throughout my review but if I have missed anything or if you have any questions or comments please do so at the bottom of the page.

DNA RATING

Overall, I give Magnum Nutraceutical’s DNA a 9/10.

A product that delivers in the reduction of DOMS, endurance in between sets and overall strength during resistance training. If you are in the market for a new BCAA product give this one a try, I enjoyed every serving and will be a repeat customer.

“So What is Magnum Nutraceutical’s DNA?”

DNA is a pilled, BCAA base product with a twist, utilizing pure free form BCAA’s, ethyl ester HCL BCAA’s, KIC and Glycine-L-Arginine. Each 8 capsule serving supplies 4g of BCAA’s, 1g of Glycine Arginine and a combination of b-vitamins. The noted benefits of BCAA’s alone include:

  • Enhance muscle protein synthesis
  • Higher BCAA levels correlate with a lean body composition
  • Result in a better testosterone to cortical ratio
  • Greater strength adaptations to training with supplementing with leucine
  • Decrease DOMS
  • Protect Liver
  • Improve sensitivity to insulin

While KIC and Glycine-Arginine are incorporated to promote endurance capacity and resistance to fatigue.

When comparing DNA to other BCAA products on the market you can see that other powdered products offer more grams of BCAA’s per serving which is always good but that should not turn or sway your opinion about DNA. Magnum uses 7 sources of BCAA’s in their blend of pharmaceutical quality for the highest susceptibility of complete absorption you can expect from a BCAA product and they also use KIC and Glycine-Arginine, both of which extremely rare to find in any other product in its respective category.

I personally love this product. I tried 4 caps pre and 4 caps post but found all 8 caps pre was a much better feel. Taking all 8 caps pre-workout you can feel a significant difference in performance compared to when you do not use this product. I am extremely familiar with how I feel on the select pre-workout products I use each week and in addition to that I am on an extremely strict diet regime, so when I incorporate a new product into my system I know exactly what it is doing to my body. And with DNA I can tell you my endurance between sets and overall strength increased noticeably after about a weeks use. The first few days I did not notice a major effect until I hit about day 5 or 6, then I was becoming excited to take another serving. DNA definitely grew on me throughout the week and throughout my full use of it I decided I would likely be a returning customer.

If I had to compare it to another product on the market I would say it is most comparable to Universal’s Animal Nitro. Both pilled BCAA products but that is just a co-incidence, the reason I compare these two products is because I do not feel a real muscle burn when I take these pre-workout. My working muscles during exercise, for lack of a better word, just fail-out as opposed to feel a real burn. Leading to an extra rep or two here and there where I would normally fail, very impressive strength addition to any supplement regime.
